Bitsy Baby Photography Now Hiring

We are seeking a few enthusiastic people for photography positions with our company.

Photography Session Assistant - Maryland/DC area:
Ideal applicant would have an extreme love for babies and a high level of patience and gentleness.   There is a high need for a flexible schedule, we often will schedule the sessions with only a week notice sometimes less.  No photography experience is required but would be a bonus.

Photographer - Virginia Beach and surrounding:
Ideal applicant would have a love for babies and children.  We ask for an established technical and photography background.  Must own professional level equipment such as the Canon Mark II or Nikon D800 level of camera and have the knowledge to work in manual mode.
***When inquiring please send the link to recent examples of your work, we need to see several sessions working with babies or families, this is a must, applicants applying without example galleries will not be considered.  Current photography business owners will be considered.

Office Company Coordinator - nationwide:
Ideal applicant would have thorough experience and exceptional skill in communicating professionally over the phone and via e-mail or social media outlets.   Applicant would be required to study our business model and become fluent and efficient with package information, workflow, studio and session details.
Sales experience is not a must but would be a huge bonus.  Duties and hours will vary from week to week and season to season.  There is a minimal amount of work required M-Sat. with a flexible schedule and time for those duties.  Internet access is a must and contact by text is a bonus.

These are sub contract positions and compensation will depend on experience.  We require professional or previous client references.  We will schedule an in-person or online/skype interview if selected as one of the final round of applicants.  At least one test session is required for the assistant and photographer positions to observe interaction with clients, etc.

You can't help but simply love the documentary nature of lifestyle photography for the newborn season and beyond through your baby's first year.  It is the most dream-like blessing of a time unlike any other life event and deserves to be captured for future generations in a professional yet gentle manner.

We are thrilled to announce and introduce our awesome, fantastically beautiful (inside and out) lifestyle newborn photographer, maternity and baby milestone expert, Shannon Fitzpatrick.  She has a true heart for documentary work and is blessed in her heart by the miracle of a baby's births and family's growth.  She resides in Baltimore County with her son and husband.

Shannon comes to us with a photography background of course.  It all began many moons ago (wink) with her Nanna teaching her to use her old polaroid camera.  I hear she was in trouble many a time for going through dozens of rolls a film a week!  She ended up attending the College of Notre Dame of Maryland majoring in art with a concentration in photography and a very high interest in journalism.  After graduating she was employed with The Aegis for several years and freelanced for the North County News, Patuxent Publishing Company, The B, and The Zone.  While photographing at the paper she won several MDDC awards which prove her eye for journalizing your memories.  She has since been a shooter for weddings and has held her her share of baby and family portraits before attending professional training with Rita at the studio and finally joining the team.  She provides a perfect balance of lifestyle newborn photography as well as beautifully set up newborn poses.

We are thrilled and blessed to have her here and thankful for the passion and heart she is putting into her work with our Bitsy Baby clients who have already fallen in love with her.
