I had to share an excerpt from an article posted on Eye On Annapolis today. Statia is a sweet and dear soul I've worked with and is quickly becoming a friend. I am humbled and so thankful to be a part of this monumental season with her family. Statia's blog "Molding Into Mommy" is featured on the Eye On Annapolis Website, go by and have a good read!
"When my husband and I found out we were expecting, nine months seemed like an eternity. Before I knew it we were in the last trimester, registering for "baby goods" and packing our hospital bag. The time flew by. Now, as our baby girl grows older each day, I am amazed at the changes I see. Last week she learned to smile, and not those silly and involuntary "gas smiles" they do, but actually smile at me! As we make silly noises, faces, kiss her cheeks and act like fools, our daughter smiles like she is the happiest girl in the world. I am realizing how important it is to capture every second, as they grow so quickly.
During our pregnancy we had the privilege of working with a wonderful local photographer. Rita Lawrence, owner of Bitsy Baby Photography, captured wonderful images of my changing body and of my husband and I as we awaited the arrival of our little one. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of her work, attention to detail, and passion she showed for us. I knew the photos would be special, but until I viewed them I had no clue how much they would mean. Our photos honestly felt like a "family portrait"; as if our baby was already there. She so accurately captured the way we felt in our hearts.
Vivian is growing more each day and it is obvious that the newborn stage is fading right before our eyes. I am thankful that Rita will be with us on this journey of parenthood, creating family heirlooms for us to treasure for years to come. If a picture is worth a thousand words, Rita's images are worth an entire library. Since her clientele consists only of expectant parents, newborns, and babies, she is an expert at these special and short-lived stages."
